The National museum was established in March 27th 1951, by the city national board of municipality Zajecar. Name National museum run from 1978. The building where is the museum is situated was built in 1927. Totally area of museum is 750 square meters, 390 square meters exhibition area.
The museum is opened for visitors every work-aday in time of 8-16h, by holidays in time of 9-13h. The admission cost is 60 din. For grown-ups, 50 din. for children.

Zadužbina «Nikola Pašić» was established in 1992, with goal to organize, help and support work in all areas related to Nikola Pasic life and achievement(1845-1926),Serbian and European politician and diplomat. So far zaduzbina has rise monument to Pasic, organized several international congresses, filmed documentary movie, opened memorial with his name.

Domiciliary museum
Domiciliary museum is located in building build in XIX century. Museum is on final stage of reconstruction. Contain exponents from archeological, ethnological and history periods. After the reconstruction is done there will be all conditions to creating assumption.

 


Gallery of Legacy Milun Mitrovic
He was born in Sokobanja and by the life time he endowed over 170 pursuits. In the beautiful object located on the marble boulevard is opened gallery of legacy Milun Mitrovic. In this edifice you can find assumption of many domestic and foreign names in art. Mitrovic is one of the creators of Art colony "Sokograd" .
 

Knjazevac museum
The museum is placed in the building from 1906 and it incorporates items organized chronologically and by the theme. The items are originals and copies of the items now kept in Belgrade, Nais and Zajecar. The items are arranged by cultural and historic themes: humans and nature, prehistory, prehistory - pre Roman time, Roman time, Byzantium - Slavs, middle ages, numismatic collection, Turkish time, Timok rebellion, workers movement.... Ethnographic collection of woolen socks is unique in the world and it is proclaimed as a cultural monument in 1965. Karadjordjeva 15
